TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

I have received many of the letters that you've written to us, the Gentiles, who are turning unto The Father, The Creator of all things through Jesus the Son of God. Those who company with me have also have received the letter from James and The Apostles, which apparently you were witness to. We have questions concerning your claim of having met the ascended Lord Jesus. We also question the teachings in your Epistles, which you claim are received through continued revelation from Heaven in secret—revelations you admit you cannot speak of, as mentioned in 2 Corinthians 12:4, yet strongly enjoin upon us. We are confused, therefore, as to what exactly we should receive from you. If you can't utter what's being spoken to you from Heaven, then what's the source of the words you write to us? What authority do your letters have? Do you speak of yourself? You seem to indicate as much in 1 Corinthians 7:12. What is from the Lord and what isn't? I will present our findings.

We are concerned with three primary issues: First, your claim to having met the ascended Lord Jesus; Second, your allowance for us Gentiles turning to God to eat meat, when Peter, James, Jesus himself, the Prophets of old, and more importantly The Creator, clearly forbid such things; and Third, in light of these two issues, we conclude that your "gospel" is contradictory to The Master's. For if he expects absolute fidelity to the teachings he gives us, which are from The Creator, then it can't be that I or anyone else is saved by "faith alone" as you say.

To you who accept Paul's claim of having met the ascended Jesus and permission to eat what we are forbidden to, we understand that you may balk at the claims I make on behalf of those whom you might call "weak" or even "heretics." But out of sincerity, love, and great concern I ask that you bear with me as I explain the reasons why we doubt and ultimately reject Paul.
